A protein yogurt bowl looks like a dessert and eats like a full breakfast: 42 grams of protein in about five minutes. Stirring half a scoop of vanilla protein into Greek yogurt makes it thick, creamy and sweet enough that it needs only a teaspoon of honey.

Build a better bowl

  1. Base: plain Greek yogurt plus protein powder.
  2. Fruit: berries, sliced banana or diced mango.
  3. Crunch: our high-protein granola, nuts or seeds.
  4. Finish: honey, a little nut butter or cinnamon.

Make it thicker

Different protein powders thicken yogurt differently. Casein and whey-casein blends turn it almost mousse-like, which some people call protein fluff. For the airy version, see our protein fluff recipe.

In summer, the same yogurt base frozen with berries becomes protein popsicles.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Stir the protein powder into the Greek yogurt until smooth and thick. Add a splash of milk if it gets too stiff.
  2. Spoon into a bowl and top with blueberries and granola.
  3. Drizzle with honey and eat right away while the granola is crunchy.

Notes

  • The granola nutrition is based on our high-protein granola recipe. Store-bought granola usually has less protein.
  • Add the granola just before eating so it stays crisp.
